Alba STB8

The STB8 was an early set top box manufactured by the Alba Company that manufactures electronic products for the Argos Company. It was a budget range "Freeview" receiver for digital terrestrial transmissions. It has the OMEGA STX5118 ALB processor and Alps TDQD5 001 digital tuner, consequently it was fast when surfing channels, and the picture was clear. It measures approximately 208 mm × 138 mm × 35 mm, and has one SCART socket, RF aerial loop through, and a serial port for upgrading the firmware.
